Vetea Ribet is a native of the island of Tahiti, in French Polynesia. After graduating from high-school in Tahiti in 1997, he decided to pursue higher education in Los Angeles, California. Vetea graduated from Pepperdine University in the Fall of 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance, and then went on to join the team of Salo, Clark & Frawley at American Express Financial Advisors (AMEX). After a year of training at AMEX, Vetea joined Todd Clark & James Frawley to help create Westside Investment Management with LPL Financial in the Spring of 2004, where he assumed the role of Operations Manager.
After earning the necessary securities and insurance licenses, Vetea transitioned into the role of full-time Financial Advisor in 2010. He is an LPL Registered Sales Associate and holds the General Securities Representative (Series 7 held through LPL Financial) and Investment Adviser Representative (Series 66 held through LPL Financial & Westside Investment Management). Vetea—or "V" as you will often hear his colleagues call him—has played an integral part in expanding the presence of Westside Investment Management outside of California, by opening a new location in Maui, HI and recruiting local Reps on the island.
A renowned athlete in Tahiti, Vetea was also recognized locally as a prominent member of the Santa Monica Track and Cross-Country team from 1998 through 2001. Born and raised on an island, his favorite hobbies revolve around ocean-related sports such as kite boarding, Stand Up Paddle, and fishing. On 11/11/11, Vetea and his wife Angelina Hills got married on the island of Maui. They have two daughters and one son. The Tahitian-born does not forget his origins as Tahiti remains his favorite vacation spot.
